Bexpeditions is my personal travel and photography blog. I began sharing my travel stories at the age of 12 when I was homeschooled for a year and had the privilege to explore many new parts of the world during that time. It was a bit like jumping into a textbook rather than just reading it. The stories and captions were shared in a newsletter sent to my friends about my environment and mostly, all the new dishes I tried for the first time. I think it went something like this: “I found the best thing EVER. They’re called French Macarons and you can buy them at the grocery store in Paris!! No need to try quail. Also It’s incredible how obvious you can identify the Americans here.” – Becca, age 12.
Bexpeditions came nearly seven years later when I moved to Hamburg, Germany for two years and I had the desire to create another space dedicated to these adventures, both big and small. As far as designing the blog goes, this type of personal project is my favorite because I get to create cozy corners on the internet that look and feel exactly how I want. Bexpeditions is primarily my photo diary while also sharing my favorite book quotes, places, and other fun musings that I’ve collected along the way.
